Re: Restructuring of the Arlington Middle School

Dear Dr. Laboy:

In regards to the Restructuring of the Arlington Middle School, the Union is the is filing a grievance at the Superintendents level as outlined in Article VI, Section 6, and Item C of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The Employer’s actions violate past practice and the parties’ Collective Bargaining Agreement, including but not limited to Article XIII B-D (p. 59) Handling New Issues. The Union demands to negotiate the issue of before it is implemented

Please provide to the Union any and all documents the district has concerning the Restructuring of the Arlington Middle School and its status, including documents from DOE to the district and documents from the district to DOE Please include documents that Principal Juan Rodriguez and you read to th e teachers at meetings held on December 10 and 12, 2007. Also please provide copies of anything that was given to teachers-the memo informing teachers about the meetings, copies of anything given to them including schedule and room changes.

Please respond to this grievance as outlined in Article VI of the current contract.
